Ithaca Advisory Solution is a consultancy firm specializing in vessel inspection and maritime advisory services. To support its growing operations, Ithaca introduced Inspect@sea, a SaaS-based inspection management platform designed to handle vessel inspections for multiple client companies.
Each client company operates numerous vessels with varying inspection requirements. Inspect@sea was built as a centralized solution to manage companies, vessels, inspections, users, and field operations efficiently across web and mobile platforms.
The challenge
Managing large-scale vessel inspections across multiple organizations presented several challenges:
- Managing multiple companies and their vessels within a single centralized system
- Implementing strict role-based access control for different company users
- Handling inspection campaigns, assignments, and historical inspection data efficiently

Solutions
We developed Inspect@sea, a centralized web and mobile-based SaaS inspection management platform tailored for maritime inspection workflows.
A Super Admin module enables Ithaca Advisory Solution to centrally manage companies, create vessels under each company, configure inspection templates, and assign inspection campaigns based on company and vessel requirements.
Each company is provided with a dedicated web portal where they can create and manage inspection campaigns, assign campaigns to vessels, track inspection progress and history, and manage users with role-based permissions.
A robust mobile application allows company users and inspectors to view assigned inspections, perform vessel-specific inspection tasks, create inspection jobs, complete assigned work, and submit observations directly from the field. The mobile app works offline, ensuring uninterrupted inspections, and automatically syncs data once the device is online.
To ensure data security and accountability, the platform enforces single-device login, allowing only one active session per user at any given time.
