Building a real-time, collaboration-heavy platform introduced several challenges:

We developed GameDoora, a comprehensive collaboration platform designed specifically for game development workflows.
Users can create multiple Studios, Projects, and Ideas with mandatory public or private visibility. Public spaces allow discovery and collaboration requests, while private spaces are accessible only via invitation. Studio and project owners can approve requests, invite users, or remove members when required.
The platform includes a Kanban-based task management system where tasks are organized across customizable stages such as Programming, Story, Art Bible, Design Influences, Licensing, and more. Tasks can be assigned to team members with due dates, assets, and documents.
Real-time notifications and feed updates are implemented using Socket.IO, ensuring that likes, comments, saves, task assignments, and collaboration requests are reflected instantly across the platform. A centralized asset system allows files up to 25 MB to be uploaded directly, with larger files shared via cloud links and reused across projects and tasks.
