Our client, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) provider, rents EVs directly to individual riders who work for companies such as Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and Zepto. To enhance transparency, the client also offers login access to these companies, enabling them to monitor how many of their riders have opted for EV rentals.

The company’s offerings include two types of EVs: swappable battery EVs, which allow a limited number of free battery swaps with additional charges for extra swaps, and chargeable battery EVs. Their business model includes collecting refundable deposits and weekly rental fees, ensuring affordable and sustainable EV access for riders.

The challenge

The client faced several challenges in their operations:

  • EV Management: Difficulty in tracking EV statuses such as assigned, idle, under maintenance, or discontinued, as well as spare parts usage.

    • QR code scanning functionality, enabling riders to assign, return, and replace EVs by themselves, reducing reliance on admin intervention
